Introduction: The Posen Foundation is pleased to announce the Posen Society history PhD scholarships for an international cohort of emerging scholars whose work deals with modern Jewish history and culture.

Posen Society scholarships to study PhD.

The worth of the scholarship includes $20,000/year for two years with the opportunity to attend two important summer seminars allowing winners to share their work. Moreover, this summer seminars will allow the winner to participate in professionalisation workshops and attend lectures. The Posen Society scholarship is open to all with no restrictions on gender, nationality or religion.

The criteria for Selection for this award include: candidate must be doctoral candidates working on a dissertation topic related to Jewish history, society and culture. Moreover, applicants must meet all university’s requirements to be a PhD studnet. Also, their dissertation/thesis must have been approved by the appropriate regulatory body, and the candidate must anticipates at least two years to completion. Candidate with another fellowship or a prior winner of this award worth of  $10,000 per year is not eligible. Likewise, the candidate must hold a  valid USA visa and be able to travel to the US to present and discuss projects of their and colleagues’.

To apply for this scholarship, a cover letter describing academic concentration is required. Also, attach your curriculum vitae which highlight candidates achievements including education, publications, scholarly activities, teaching experience and work experience. Likewise, attache a dissertation synopsis. Inform your referees to upload their recommendation letters.
